Engagement session in Turin, Italy
Anengagement photo shoot inTurin… Why not?
Having yourengagement photoshoot abroad isn’t that complicated, and yet it’s an incredible experience—so unique and exhilarating. When we talked with Anthony & Sylvana about doing a photoshoot with them—as a reminder, we’d already done a couple’s photoshoot in Brittany—we had the idea of doing it somewhere else, andItalyquickly came to mind. Having your engagement shoot abroad is also a chance to discover new places. For us, it was a wonderful surprise, since we didn’t knowTurin at all, and it really is a very pretty city—and above all, very photogenic.

Engagement session at Vallon des Auffes in Marseille
Wondering how we ended up doing anengagement photo shootatVallon des AuffesinMarseille? Then read on…
Life is all about the people we meet, and ever since we becamewedding photographers, we’ve come to realize just how true that is. Every year, we meet wonderful couples, each one more adorable than the last, and these two are definitely among them.
One day, on Instagram, I got an email from Isaline—it was November 17th, and I was stuck in a roundabout… I remember reading the email in the car; I saw “Provence” and thought, FINALLY. The email was long and sweet, and I had only one desire: to reply, haha. I got home, the emails kept coming, then a Skype call, and the decision was made. We were going to cover a wedding in Provence this summer.
As you know, even though we’re very attached to our region—because, let’s face it, it’s beautiful and diverse—we love discovering new places. Provence is obviously one of them, since it has some magnificent wedding venues, and our goal this year was to finally cover a wedding there—which we’ll be doing very soon.
Since good news never comes alone, they decided to do an engagement shoot inMarseille, which worked out perfectly, since we have another couple who happens to live there, so we were able to combine the two shoots. And when you sayMarseille, you say… MISTRAL… That thing you see on TV, where you think to yourself, “Honestly, it’s not that bad”… well, it was a real eye-opener, because yes, it is pretty terrible… and these two got a taste of it ^^
So it was with a howling mistral wind that we shot this session, which we can certainly describe as a classic example of the region’s weather. In any case, one thing is certain: we can’t wait to see them again on their big day in July
